A Realtor's Leasing Overview - Protecting the Landlord and Tenant

October 29, 2014 @ 1:00pm - 4:30pm (3 HRS CE)

At the conclusion of this course attendees will be able to provide information and lead a discussion on the benefits/drawbacks of "leasing only" or placing a home in a property management situation. Agents will also be able to ensure that all forms are completed to provide the maximum protection for a homeowner/tenant. The participants will also be able to illustrate the benefits of leasing and how this can potentially avoid a short sale or foreclosure situation for a homeowner. They will also learn how to generate potential buyers for those owners that have found themselves landlords by "default". This course is required for agents that want to list properties for Lease.
PLEASE NOTE: Class is limited to 15 Active sales associates with Coldwell Banker.


Mastering Moisture Problems in Residential Real Estate
November 13, 2014 from 1:00pm-4:15pm (3 HRS CE)

The primary focus of this course will be to teach agents to recognize and understand costs-to-cure parameters for commonly encountered repairs since these affect the asking/selling price of properties they may be listing for sale. This course will involve group discussions regarding commonly encountered problems with emphasis on accurate observation, diagnosis/evaluation, generic remediation and the average range of costs for such remediation. Attendees are also taught to evaluate possible negative economic impacts on problem properties due to slower resale or up-front devaluation on those properties. The instructor for this course is Scott Trowbridge.

Matrix 101 new FMLS system

FMLS' new MLS system, Matrix, which is well-known for its speed, flexibility, and functionality. It is fully compatible across all platforms, including iPads and tablets. Time is of the essence in today’s real estate market and customers expect quick results and personalized service from their real estate professionals. In this course, students will use Matrix to search for and customize property information from FMLS database for their buying clients. Students will learn multiple ways to search for property information, as well as utilize a variety of specialized tools to aid in their search. Students will also practice utilizing those methods and tools to locate properties of interest for a buyer. Students will leave with the knowledge of how to search, compile, customize and email property information to prospective buyers.Instructed by Kay Burt with FMLS.
